Privacy Policy
Jannater Sathi is an online matrimony technology platform. Information may be processed as necessary for account registration, email/mobile verification, biodata, controlled contact, dashboard statistics, payments, support, fraud prevention, security, analytics, and lawful administration. No internet service can guarantee absolute security or the complete accuracy of user-supplied information.
1. Information we may process
Depending on the service, we may process names, email addresses, phone numbers, verification status, password hashes, biodata fields, images/documents, family information, preferences, favorite/block/report records, profile-view records, login/security logs, IP/device/browser data, support messages, order/transaction references, coupons, payment status, and service-usage data. OTPs, PINs, and complete payment credentials are not retained unnecessarily.
2. Purposes of processing
Information may be used for account creation and management, post-registration email verification/password setup, authentication, biodata review/publication, search/matching features, contact access, payment reconciliation, notifications, support, abuse detection, security monitoring, auditing, dashboard statistics, successful-marriage deduplication, legal compliance, and service improvement.
3. Favorite and profile-view statistics
We may process which account favorited which biodata so a unique favorite count can be shown; duplicate favorite attempts by the same account for the same biodata count once. For profile views, the viewer account ID, biodata ID, and view time may be processed. A user’s own view of their biodata is not counted, and the same viewer account is counted at most once for the same biodata within a 24-hour period.
4. Public and controlled information
Specified parts of approved biodata may be visible publicly or to registered users. Guardian/contact information may be placed behind controlled access. Information voluntarily placed in public biodata can be seen, remembered, copied, or used outside the platform by others, and such third-party misuse cannot be fully controlled.
5. Third-party providers
Hosting, email, SMS, analytics, security, Google Play, banks/mobile-financial services, and payment gateways may process limited information necessary to provide their services and may apply their own privacy terms. Their independent systems, outages, breaches, retention practices, or policies may be outside our direct control.
6. Uploading another person’s information
A user who uploads another person’s image, phone number, family information, document, or personal data is responsible for obtaining the necessary consent and authority. The user may be responsible for claims or disputes arising from unauthorized submissions.
The photo of an approved male biodata may be included in a print copy available to a logged-in user after the biodata contact information has been unlocked. Female biodata uses a generic modest-woman illustration instead of publishing a personal photo.
7. Security
Reasonable measures such as access controls, password hashing, session security, CSRF protection, rate limiting, logging, and administrative restrictions may be used. However, cyberattacks, compromised devices, credential sharing, provider breaches, and internet risks cannot be guaranteed against completely. Users are also responsible for protecting passwords, OTPs, PINs, and devices.
8. Account/biodata deletion and Delete Archive
Operational account/biodata data may be permanently deleted or deactivated, while limited information may be retained as necessary for fraud prevention, payment reconciliation, accounting, disputes, backups, security audits, successful-marriage deduplication, administrative records, or legal obligations. For admin deletion, the Delete Archive may retain a common snapshot including name, email, mobile, biodata number/type, marital status, age/birth information, location, education, profession, economic status, and relevant guardian/contact information.
If an admin selects “marriage completed through Jannater Sathi” and identifies the other platform account, limited common snapshots of both parties and pair-related audit data may be retained. This retained data is not published as public biodata.
9. Successful-marriage verification and counting
In the self-deletion flow, selecting “marriage completed through Jannater Sathi” uses the other party’s registered mobile number to locate the account and perform OTP consent verification. In an admin deletion flow, an authorized admin may identify the other account using phone/email/biodata number. For a successfully recorded pair, relevant account IDs, a one-way verification/audit fingerprint, and time may be retained so the same couple is counted once in Total Successful Marriages. Personal contact data is not displayed in the public counter.
10. User requests
Subject to applicable law and technical feasibility, correction, deactivation, or deletion requests may be made through Support/Account Settings. Additional verification may be required, and legitimate retention obligations may require some retained/audit data to remain.
11. Limitation of responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Jannater Sathi does not accept responsibility for user-to-user disclosures, information voluntarily shared by users, misuse by another user, offline interactions, compromised user devices/accounts, or independent third-party provider conduct. Privacy rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
